Environmental Policy

ORKIM Chemicals Inc. is committed to comply with all environmental laws and regulations,
fulfill environmental compliance obligations and minimize the environmental impact of all its
activities to protect the environment and ensure sustainability.
To help ensure a livable clean environment for the future generations, ORKIM Chemicals Inc.
employs its “Environmental Policy”, in intertwined with its “Occupational Health & Safety
Policy” and “Chemical Management System”, to all of its activities towards product
procurement, development, production and sales.
It is ORKIM Chemicals Inc.’s policy to;

  1. closely follow and implement related legal compliances towards local and international
    environmental laws & regulations.
  2. continuously improve the company’s environmental performance and compliance
    obligations towards the industry specific standards.
  3. develop and improve “Occupational Health and Safety” rules to reduce the environmental
    risks in operational and emergency actions; creating integrity between health & safety and
    the environment.
  4. strictly implement its “Chemical Management System” that ensures the use of the less-
    hazardous raw materials to minimize environmental damage and the use of appropriate
    technologies and processes to preserve natural resources.
  5. continuously communicate with the suppliers and customers in order to minimize the
    environmental effects of the products; re-evaluating alternatives to reduce waste that may
    occur as a result of production, transport, storage, operation, treatment and maintenance
    activities.
  6. place sustainable environment approach in the center of product, production and process
    development.
  7. raise awareness towards environmental responsibilities among the personnel and
    subcontractors.

Occupational Health & Safety

ORKIM Chemicals Inc. “Occupational Health & Safety Policy (OHS)” establishes risk and hazard management systems that set out activities and rules to detect the risks, dangers and hazards, implement the control measures and improve OHS management.
It is ORKIM Chemicals Inc.’s policy to;

  1. provide safe and healthy working conditions and workspace to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases via periodic equipment control, production and storage inspection, employee health surveillance and training.
  2. commit to comply with applicable OHS related legislation, regulations and standards.
  3. establish and maintain relevant policies, procedures, systems, information, training, promotional programs and organizational structures to support and deliver effective OHS practices within the organization.
  4. provide continuous improvement on setting and reviewing health & safety goals, to allocate enough resources to continually improve OHS performance and perform periodical management reviews.
  5. set out and continuously improve the rules of the “Emergency Plan” for handling and reporting incidents, accidents, illness, first aid and evacuation.
  6. create a culture of occupational safety by encouraging the active participation of all employees, contractors and visitors in the scope of developing and supporting measures to improve OHS: consulting with them all, in addition to professionals, and involving employees in the development of an improved OHS management system,
  7. train employees and rase awareness towards work & product safety, worker health and hazard minimalization.
  8. establish an effective communication method / channel for ensuring that all personnel have adequate knowledge about their obligations.
